Yellow Sponge

Here is one of many species that appear in a mature reef stocked with Fiji live rock. Frequently growing in the shade of pieces of rock or reef invertebrates, sponges help to bind the rocks together. Generally sponges are not offered for sale, although we often ship pieces of rock with some sort of coral attached and sponges. Generally, if you have quality live rock and a thriving reef, you will have sponges! But.....if you have angelfish, you probably won't have sponges!
