Reef Aquarium Supplements and Buffers
There are hundreds of aquarium chemicals on the market today. We have been using the following compounds in our reef maintenance service for years to insure a healthy reef system with colorful corallines, vigorous invertebrates, and healthy fish. While they are often referred to as "supplements", they really are "replacements", providing essential chemical elements that are continuosly being removed from aquarium water by the living organisms in the reef.

E.S.V. B-Ionic Calcium Buffer
A very high pH (8.2-8.4) is necessary for the maintenance of healthy coralline algae, hard corals, fish and invertebrates and a supply of calcium ions is necessary for calcium carbonate deposition in corals and vertebrates. B-Ionic is a two-solution set used in equal parts to easily maintain calcium and alkalinity levels in the reef aquarium without having to measure and mix powders and solutions. Component 1 contains ions that increase the carbonate alkalinity. Component 2 adds calcium ions essential to growth of bones, coral skeletons, and nerve conduction. Both solutions replace a variety of other ions that are essential for a healthy reef aquarium.

Coralife Supplements
The following solutions are "replacements" that we use regularly to replace minerals used by the organisms in the reef aquarium.
Strontium & Molybdenum These elements are found in small amounts in natural seawater, but are required by marine invertebrates, especially corals and anemones. Regular replacement by this solution is essential. 8 oz. $11.99
Calcium is used in many metabolic pathways, including nerve conduction growth of bones and reefs, and as a pH buffering agent. 8 oz. $11.99
Iodine is essential to the health and vigor of marine organisms, especially soft corals and anemones. Iodine is rapidly depleted by high metabolic requirements and physical processes, and must be replaced. 8 oz. $11.99
Trace Elements, a mixture of a number of elements found in very small quantities in seawater, a high metabolic requirement quickly depletes them in marine aquaria. Physical processes such as vigorous aeration, ozonation, and protein skimming also remove some of these elemental nutrients. 8oz. $11.99
Larger sizes are available.

Coral Vital contains naturally produced enzymes which increase many biological processes, promoting the growth of coralline algae. Especially helpful in promoting growth and reproduction of corals.
6 oz.,$19.99
16 oz. $39.99
1 gallon - $174.95
