Newly-arrived fish are quarantined to make sure they are healthy. If a specimen appears sick, it is isolated immediately and treated. If the fish appears healthy, after several days they are moved to a smaller cubicle and closely watched to determine whether or not they are eating well.
Only when we are satisfied the specimen is disease-free, is readily eating common foods, and has good weight, do we sell or ship it!
Intense metal halide lights and strong water movement increase the health and beauty of decorator live rock, soft and hard corals, and invertebrates. A variety of corals are propagated in these tanks. Buds harvested from overgrown client systems are attached to pieces of coral and grown to a suitable size.
No supplemental foods are added to this system so high water quality is achieved with minimul water changes.
Deionized water is mixed with premium sea salts and heated and oxygenated in this 500 gallon tank for water changes in the shop and delivery, in insulated tanks, to clients.
