I have always liked to meet the people I am dealing with and this was a treat for me... Thanks so much for providing a quality product. I will be sure to recommend you to other reefers." Dave Cockrum

2/4/2008. "Hi Marty, I received a shipment of 50lbs live rock last Tues. It is doing very well. Tank is cycling nicely." Gerry Engel

2/2/2008. Las Vegas, WV "Hello, Marty. We received 100 lbs of live rock from you four weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect. We moved our corals and fish in just three days later and there was never any detectable ammonia. All the animals are healthy and much happier than they were in the old set-up. Here are a couple of photos of the tank today. Your service and product are excellent. When you say the rock is prime-cured and ready to go you really mean it! Thank you." Kathleen Cass

2/2/2008 Brooklyn, NY. "Marty, Hey I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing rocks, their absolutely stunning and perfect in size and color, very very deep purples and magentas. I really couldn't be happier with these rocks. It's funny because your rocks were the same rocks I had for the last 6 years and loved them, and I would never have had to replace them if I didn't accidentally poison my own tank with a chemical reagent. These rocks you sent me though even blow away the previous rocks I had from you for the last 6 years, honestly these are the best rocks I have seen in a long time. Definately a repeat customer, hey if I could remember you after 6 years, then that's a very good impression. You want to know how I found you? I was inspired to get into this hobby from Gil and Lisa's nano website, they used your rocks, and I loved what they had, so I ordered from you. I just thought that was a funny tidbit of information. I'm not sure I mentioned this but Im trying to get a grant from UNESCO to grow and raise corals to help dying reefs throughout the world. I am currently in contract to buy a house and put a greenhouse up for raising Oscellaris, and perhaps some ornamental angelfish as well as coral. I'm going to start slow but I ultimately want to get into this area as career, or a side job, somethign to take me away from law, ugh no fun. Anyways, enough of my rant, thanks for the beautiful rocks and timely delivery." Cheers, David

1/24/2008. Washington, MO. "Marty, It has been a long time since we spoke. In case you don't remember you helped me a great deal when I fist set up my 55 gallon reef tank. I got my first ever live rock and several times ordered live stock. Well Marty I looked back at some of my old receipts from you and it was in 2001. Time fly's. I have upgraded to a 180gallon reef now. It has been up an running for about 7 months. It is awesome." John Friend

1/14/2008 Hello Marty sorry didn't get a chance to call you rock was great , wanted to > know if you have any with caves and ledges for the aquascape ?drop me a > email when you get a chance thanks for everything Brian Pitcher

12/3/2007. Charlottesville, VA. "Marty, I just wanted to thank you for the live rock and to let you know that it arrived on schedule with no issues. The rock has been setup in the tank for five days now. The ammonia / nitrate levels are perfect and the water is crystal clear. It looks great!! Couldn't be any easier this. Thanks Marty!!" Ron

5/21/07. Sarasota, FL. "Hi Marty, I wanted to email and let you know how very pleased I am with my order now that it is complete and installed. The final shipment of the Fiji branch rock arrived Friday and it is very heavily Coralline encrusted as are several of the other pieces that arrived the week before. I've watched the nitrogen levels and there has been no spike at all as you promised. I plan to start removing the media from the trickle filter slowly over the next four weeks or so and get to relying solely on the live rock to complete the de-nitrification cycle and then start adding more fish. Present occupants are having a great time maneuvering in and about the passages and tunnels that I created with my aquascaping efforts, especially a flame angel and a small yellow tail blue damsel. Thanks for your help. You have a great product and my tank looks the nicest it ever has and I'm sure it will only improve over time as the Coralline spreads and grows." Rob

3/31/2007. E. Hartford, CT. "Marty, Just wanted to drop a few lines to let you know that the Rock you sent was the BEST I'VE EVER SEEN! To all skeptical Aquarius out there I too was a bit skeptical, as nothing these days seem to do what the seller says they do. Well I can tell you firsthand that this rock is the real deal!! When I first talked to Marty and was told the price I said this is rather expensive and why should I pay double the price as others that are selling so called "cured rock". Well, as the saying goes you get what you pay for, and I'm completely satisfied with the product. I was worried because I had a Fish only tank that had large ( and very expensive ) angel Fish, purple tangs , etc., and I had developed a serious Nitrate problem. So I naturally was "scared" to put in rock that would possibly kill my fish that I'd raised from about 2" to approx. 8" (about 6 yrs).I figured I had two choices #1 Try Marty's rock, or #2 get rid of my fish. Quite naturally I elected to buy the rock and hope for the best. Well, its been 2 1/2 months now and My Tank is SPARKLING AND I NEVER HAD ONE SINGLE AMMONIA OR NITRITE SPIKE !! My Fish are happy and I've even thrown in some hard Corals now! Thanks Marty for delivering a truly OUTSTANDING product! SKEPTICS REST ASSURED THIS ROCK IS AMAZING! Feel free to publish my testimonial as you see fit!! Very Satisfied" Calvin

3/8/07. Attleboro, MA. "Marty, I posted this on Reef Central. Thanks, again." Jeff

2/28/07. New York City."Hey Marty, I just wanted to Thank you again for your quality product and professionalism. To anyone contemplating purchasing from Aquarium Arts; the experience and product is simply the best. Marty does exactly what he promises and the quality of the cured rock is understated by all testimonials. Once you put it in your system you'll be amazed; and your system will be cycled within 24 hours. Marty, Thank you for being an honest and informative Internet retailer." Brian

2/15/2007. Boston, MA. "Marty, I just wanted to give you an update on the 120 lbs live rock you sent me. Everything arrived perfectly and the pieces were beautiful. I was able to arrange everything exactly as I wanted based on your selection of shapes and sizes . I look forward to moving forward with my aquarium. I will call you tomorrow concerning the pH measurements. Again thanks for all of your help." Aaron

2/10/07. New York City."Dear Marty, I received 25 lbs of your lovely live rock and despite all the info on your site, I was still nervous about adding it to my already cycled 30 gallon tank with 3 fish and a shrimp. Well, my fears were completely unfounded! I placed the rock into the tank straight out of the FedEx box, and within minutes, my herbivores were grazing on the new rock! It's been about 1.5 wks since I added it and the tank looks great. There has been no ill-effects and best of all, no spike in ammonia!
It's so hard to know whether to trust online vendors you've never met, so thank you Marty for being one of the "good ones"! Best regards." Stella

10/27/06. Gilbert, AZ. "Marty, my shipment of 35 lbs. of live rock arrived at 11:30 am today. What wonderful quality! Thank you so much. I am so excited to see what develops. I have included a picture of my tank and rock that has been sitting for about an hour. Looks nice already! Thanks so much." Jane

10/17/06. New York City. "Hi Marty, I recieved the 100lbs live rock today and I was absolutely blown away in the quality and the vibrant colors that was on the rocks. As for me and prob. most of your 1st time customers (I) was very confused on so many different companies that sell live rock on the web and one day I saw your ad and decide to order for you ( boy am I glad I did ). To sum it all up the live rock is the best I`ve seen and I will be buying another batch from you soon and would recomend you to all my friends. Attached is a pic of the live rock after 1hr in my tank, pls feel free to post it on your site." Danny

10/4/06. Millville, NJ. "MARTY, ONCE AGAIN, A BEAUTIFUL SHIPMENT OF LIVE ROCK! AS YOU ADVISED, I OPTED FOR A COMPLETE "RE-START" OF THE TANK. I REMOVED ALL OF THE OLD ALGAE INFESTED ROCK AND SUBSTRATE AND DID A COMPLETE TEAR DOWN AND SCRUB OF THE TANK AND "ALL" ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT! THE NEW ROCK AND 80LBS OF SUBSTRATE WERE PLACED IN THE TANK AND REFILLED WITH NEW WATER. THE LIVESTOCK WAS RE-ACCLIMATED AND SEEM TO BE HEALTHY AND HAPPY AND LOVING THEIR NEW ROCK! YOUR SHIPMENT MADE IT LOOK LIKE A NEW TANK ALL TOGETHER. BOTH MYSELF AND "THE RUSTY HEART" CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH." WILL

9/4/06. Midland, MI. "Marty-Hello. I ordered up 125 pounds of your live rock and must say was very impressed with the quality and amount of ³life² in it! The new tank looks great! I do need more though!" Michael

8/29/06 "Hi Marty, just wanted to drop you a note on the rock you shipped me last week. Itlooked fantastic and the fish are loving it! Major difference in their behavior with the live rock versus the "dead" hard coral and the condition your rock was in was true to your word thanks! Please fell free to post this comment on your web site." Rob

8/13/06 Houston, TX. "Marty,I would like to thank you very much for all the help you provided getting my aquarium project kicked off. From the first phone conversation we had early on to kicking off the project, you were essential for the help, insight and direction to make everything work. It has been three months since I added the 200+ pounds of live rock from you. The quality and description of the material that you said you could provide was accurate and everything was delivered as you stated. The tank has taken off very well and the first "critter package" that you provided was introduced the week after the live rock was put in. I have been gradually adding fish and invertebrates over the past few weeks and everything continues to do well. My only suggestion to you is move your operation to Houston and make it easier for me to do business with you. Nothing like being selfish. I look forward to continue working with you as I build the stock in the tank and make this a rewarding experience. Thanks again for everything and will be in touch in next few weeks to add some additional stock." Ron

6/27/06. North Carolina. "Thank you for your great service. I'm very happy with the rock and it immediately went into my tank." Ruthie

5/26/06. Fort Rucker, AL. "My wife and I purchased a 24 gallon nano cube that we intended to use as a mini reef system. After searching for countless hours over the internet on subjects such as cured rock, calcium supplements, iodine, trace elements and filtration we almost gave up and settled on a fresh water setup. We then discovered Aquarium Arts and everything fell in place. Marty was extremely knowledgeable and made everything from setup to testing a breeze. We purchased 30 pounds of the most beautiful cured rock we have ever seen. The tank looks so good with just the cured rock Marty supplied that we could never add anything else and still have a conversation piece that is amazing to all our friends. As a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army I know the true meaning of professionalism. I can honestly say that Marty approaches all aspects of his business and his clients needs with a true professional approach." Thomas.

5/5/06. San Antonio, TX. "Marty, you are "the man". I received my rock yesterday and was absolutely blown away. It is awesome! I have to confess though, since it had been almost a month while we waited for the rock to cure, I had begun to get buyer's remorse and was worried about if I had made the right decision. Yesterday I picked up those eight boxes from the Fedex shop just down the road, brought them home and it was just like Christmas. The first box that I opened just happened to be one of the two boxes of branch rock. The first piece that I saw I thought "Wow! Here is the centerpiece." As it turned out I thought that about several other of the pieces too. I couldn't believe the size and outstanding quality of the rock, the embedded crustaceans and the tremendous colors. I had an aquarist, Felipe Flores, who is the owner of "Fin Addict", a local marine aquarium store, do the setup. He too was very impressed with this exceptional rock, and he has been doing setups for many years. Marty, it was everything that you promised it would be. Fedex only had the rock for about 15 hours from your place in Bakersfield to mine here in San Antonio, Texas. Please feel free to use this email in your testimonials, and to give my name and phone number to prospective clients. Although it doesn't do the rock justice, I am enclosing a picture taken of the rock in the last 34 hours since it was put in the aquarium. Thanks again." Bill (If you want to see the detail of the rock, ask your browser to open image in new window or whatever it takes to just see the jpeg. It is large! Marty)

4/14/06. Bend, OR. "Just received my Live rock in the mail yesterday and was extremely pleased!!!! I live in the middle of the high dessert in Bend, Oregon and trying to buy anything 'live' via mail is near impossible. Marty did a great job packaging his product and from his shop to my doorstep took exactly 24 hrs. The Fiji rock I ordered was absolutely the best I've seen on the market. There was no smell and there were lots of small living critters including a large bristle worm. I would highly recommend Marty and his rock to anyone building a reef!!" David

4/14/05. Chowchilla, CA. "Hi Marty, It's been 3 or 4 weeks now since we (my husband Dan & I) came across your web site and contacted you and your father (Ted) on advice for starting back up our 100 gallon Reef Tank. The advice you gave us and the items you sold us (live cured rock & branch, coral, polyps, fan worm, feather duster, bi-color blenny and yellow tang) are wonderful. Our tank looks beautiful and those items were just for starters. What amazes me the most is the live cured rock (no cycling required!!!) you supplied us with. It's Awesome! We discover new life growing each day.I can't wait to purchase more live cured rock and branch from you plus fish (because you are one of the few places we dicovered quarantines their fish before sending it out to the purchaser). Marty, I can't say enough good things about our experience with you and the items you sold us. Again, thank you very much." Jennifer

4/3/06. Spanaway, WA. "Hi Marty, How much for 20 lbs of live rock shipped to a..... I have about 50 lbs of your rock allready, could I add this right away? I have a maroon clown, coral beauty angel and a peppermint shrimp! By the way, beautiful quality rock you sell! Thanks." Scott

3/21/06. Anchorage, AK. "Marty..... I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your time for driving to LA to pick up my fish. They are all doing great. My clam is huge and the powder is growing like a weed and looks great. I will never buy another fish from anyone but you. Once I get my all my stuff from you I will send you a picture of my tank which looks great thanks to you and Jerry with a testimony to post on your web site. Jerry will probably talk to you but in case he does not, before your next trip to LA here is my wish list....." Andy

3/21/06. Yuma, AZ. "Marty, I purchased my live rock from you over a year ago. It arrived just as your webpage described and pictured and was ready to be placed in my tank . The size and number of pieces you sent were perfect. After more then a year, I can say with assurance that the tank quickly matured with purple and red algae because of your rock. It has really brought the life and fun into owning and maintaining a saltwater tank. I recommend you to everyone I know that is interested in establishing a saltwater reef tank and will be ordering more from you when I move to Alabama. Thanks." Mark

3/9/06. Ukiah, CA. "Marty, I heard the FEDEX plane come into the airport and knew, through the tracking, that my live rock order was on it. Drove down to the airport and got it right off the conveyor belt. I'm now doing the acclimation. Thanks for the excellent service. You'll hear from me again soon...." John

3/8/06. Monterey, CA. "Marty, Just wanted to let you know that the rock arrived yesterday and the tank looks great! Thank you so much for all your help! I've been telling some friends about you and think they will be calling you soon....thanks again!" Anne

3/6/06. Florida. "Marty, Thanks again for the awesome Rock order. The Fiji branch rock that you sent is absolutely incredible. We spent the day arranging the tank and had a great time doing it, thanks to the variety and quality of the rocks you sent. My wife was skeptical of me placing the order over the Internet and now she wants to do it again with a tank set up for our office as well. Quality products, great service, and good advice is in abundance at Aquarium Arts. Thanks for all of your help." ray

3/3/06. Ukiah, CA. "Marty, I got my rock by 1:00 this afternoon. I rinsed it in a bucket of saltwater and put it in. It had hardly any odor and just about the right amount. I was expecting more of the pink and red coraline but i'm sure that will come. I'm also seeing small little shrimp like critters. I had one question on lighting, I have a PC with 2 ,96 watt bulbs I have it running with just one of the bulbs right now. Should I ease into full lighting or just go ahead with the full lighting. I'll check for ammonia in a couple of days and if it's clear i'll give you a call and I can start stocking. Thanks again for the quick service..." John

2/27/06. Castaic, CA. "Marty, Thank you again for waiting at the shop (after hours) this past weekend so I could drive there and pick up the selected show pieces of the Fiji Branch Rock. I really appreciate the customer service! All the pieces chosen complement my aquascape beautifully. As always, the rock was ready for my tank and I didn't have to worry about any further curing. There's a reason why I make the 150 mile round trip drive to your shop, I know I will be satisfied each and every time. The Fiji branch was far better looking than I imagined and so where the additional Fiji pieces I was able to pick up. I will follow up soon with some pics for your reference.
My comment to potential customers: You can purchase from Marty at "Aquarium Arts" with confidence. With the three aquariums I have started (bigger each time) I have purchased several hundred pounds of rock directly from Marty and have been very satisfied. On my last trip I would have loved to have acquired some pieces that Marty had set aside and reserved for a customer in Florida ( I was a bit too late). He really does select the best possible pieces for his customers online or walk-in. Regards." Leon

2/17/06. Roanoke, VA. "Marty, We love the live rock, it looks great in the tank. Now we need some fish!...Thank you so much for all your great help, I greatly appreciate it!" Christy.

2/08/06. Houston, TX. "Marty,I wanted to drop you an e-mail and let you know just how awsome your rock is. This was even better than what I expected and even with shipping better price and a heck of a lot better than any LFS could ever dream of here in Houston. You have made me a customer for life with this order, What your site says is 100% true. Your rock, well ROCKS!! Thanksa million." Jason

2/7/06. Northern NJ. "Hi Marty, Thanks so much for the order of live rock that you sent me last month. It is beautiful and my tank is awesome. I am starting a 12gal nano tank and would like to reorder 25 pounds of your Figi live rock." Karyn

2/6/06. Portland, OR. "Hi Marty, Just wanted to let you know that the second box of rock arrived (one day late) on Friday. The box was pretty much destroyed. The cardboard box had been saturated with water, and half of the rock was dry. The box had additional tape on it to hold it together. It was so bad that I asked the representative if the plane actually landed in Portland, or if they just shoved the box out of the cargo bay at 30K feet as they were passing overhead! They made note of the damage, so please demand a shipping refund. All in all the rock was fine. A few pieces were starting to smell, but I have not experienced anything more than a minor ammonia spike. I know that shipping is beyond your control, so thanks again for rock. The shapes, and assortment you pulled together looks very good in the tank." Craig.

1/6/06 Horsham, PA. "Hi Marty. Got the live rock this morning and it is already in my tank. Had a slight scare as one of the boxes was rather damp on the outside and the styrofoam had obviously taken a hard hit. However, the rock itself was still damp so I do not think any significant harm was done. Rock looks great. I am really impressed with the size and quality of the pieces you sent. Lots of purple coraline algae and, even though rock has been in water less than 2 hours, I already saw a shrimp or some sort of critter. Probably about 3 tablespoons of rubble total and not a dead or junk piece of rock to be found. Thanks, I will keep you posted as to how it progresses." Mike I.

1/5/06 Brooklyn, NY. "Marty-Thanks so much for all the advice and beautiful rock. As a beginner hobbyist in saltwater fish I initially made the mistake of dealing with the local pet store. After dealing with you I can assure you that I will never go back to that place. Not only is your product beautiful, your prices more than reasonable and your advice excellent, but you have made my new hobby that much more pleasurable. What a difference it truly makes dealing with someone who knows and loves what they do. Thanks for everything." Cory
