Paul Dovie's Reef Aquariums

Paul started small and got smaller!
His first tank was a 30 gallon salt water which he transformed into a reef.
Then he set up a 10 gallon reef! Paul sent us photos of both.

The 10 gallon has (l-r): an open brain coral, button polyps, Sarcophyton, a leather coral, and a Xenia coral.

Green metallic frilly mushroom, clove polyps, and rare dwarf anemones.

The 30 gallon tank has 30 lbs. of Aquarium Arts' cured live rock, a 24" 55 watt Power Compact lighting system, 2 powerheads for circulation, and a Bak Pak 2 protein skimmer. Here are some views.

A Blue Tang and a Clown Trigger cruise among various soft corals and feather duster worms. The Clown Trigger was not a good choice for a reef and
Aquarium Arts recommended that it be removed because it was damaging the reef organisms. Paul returned it to his aquarium shop and traded it in on other inverts.
